If you click on file -> new and try to create a new file with a width of 1000 pixels and click on OK, the GIMP application crashes on my windows box. This bug is easily reproducible.

OS: Windows XP with SP2

the error signature:

^^ Yes I do! Anything in particular you want me to provide you with? Are you able to reproduce the issue?

I went through <a href = "http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=314529"> Bug #314529</a> and I can't determine if it is the same issue.

Yes, get rid of the GTK+ installed by GAIM and install the latest stable
GTK+ linked from www.gtk.org.

Does this fix the problem?
