Description Chris Koresko 2006-07-21 21:15:29 UTC
Most of the mail I get is spam. I have spamassassin installed, which detects the great majority of it.

However, Evolution's ability to use this information is pretty limited. It can automatically check the spam status on newly received mail and move it to the Junk folder if needed. But the user is notified of incoming mail even if it spam (in fact, if Evolution is set to play a sound, it plays the sound *twice* when a spam message is received). This is distracting and annoying.

I propose that Evolution gain an option to check the spam status first, and only do the user-notification if the message is not spam.
