Description Aredridel 2006-07-16 01:38:47 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Re-arranging music files can empty playlists, as entries are removed from playlists when the track ends up under missing tracks

Steps to reproduce:
1. Add a file to a playlist.
2. Rename it outside of rhythmbox, or move it to another directory

Actual results:
The track vanishes from the playlist

Expected results:
The track stays in the playlist, non-functional, or is updated to the new location.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

It's a known problem, see bug #123345 rhythmbox doesn't know how to track files once they've been moved outside rhythmbox.
