Description Mikael Nilsson 2006-06-28 13:53:30 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When I have just added a new contact through right-clicking on a mail address in a mail, I cannot use that address for autocompletion or through searching in the Contacts UNTIL I restart evolution and the data server.

Steps to reproduce:
I do the following:

1. Add contect by rightclicking on an email address in a mail.
2. Compose new mail
3a. in the to: field, begin entering first 3-4 letters of name, OR
3b. Click the "To" button to search for name
4. No match!
5. exit evolution, restart
6. Try 3a or 3b again - No match
7. Exit evolution
8. evolution --force-shutdown, restart
9. Try 3a or 3b again - both work!

Actual results:
I don't get a match when searching in the addressbook for my newly added contact.

Expected results:
I expect to see my newly added contact.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
I've been having this problem for quite a while.

I'm running Ubuntu Dapper, evo 2.6.1, plus some Edgy packages.

I also have the "Always crash on exit" issue (Bug #272556), if that might be related.

I could also mention that my addressbook was originally created by importing a .vcf file exported from thunderbird.
