To add up to bug 158071 : we could make the patch preview control a GtkSourceView, then we could syntax-highlight the patch, highlight the current line etc. :)

Tweak patch preview

A quick patch that turns the patch preview GtkTextView into a GtkSourceView and sets highlighting as needed.
