Description Frank Matthes 2006-06-04 19:04:19 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I want to copy a path selection between two images "a" & "b" using the two commands Copy and Insert path selection.

Afer I have copied the created path selection in images "a" with the command "Copy path selection" (klick right mouse over actual path selction in the path dialogue window and choose command Copy), I cannot insert the path selection in images "b" using right klick in the empty path selection dialogue window.
Of course, I can do so when I use import and export function of the path or use "drag and drop" functionality.

Steps to reproduce:
1. I'm working with windows ! XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2 Sorry :-)
2. Use gimp 2.2.11, german
3. create path for selection in image "a". Don't convert path into selection!
4. In path selection dialogue when focused on image "a", I can choose with right mouse klick above actual path the command Copy path from the pop-up window
5. Change focus to image "b"
6. Path dialogue is empty
7. I cannot use right mouse klick to open pop-up window
8. So this means I can also not import a path with (command export & import), because I cannot open this pop-up window.
9. The only way around is to drag the selected path in image "a" and drop it over image "b"
or
10. Create empty path in path dialogue when focus is on image "b"
11. Afterwards right klick on new path will open Pop-up widow and I can choose import function but not the insert function. This command is grey!

Actual results:
Described already above

Expected results:
I would like that I could open the pop-up menu in the image "b" path dialogue with right mouse klick although it is empty. And then I wish to insert the path I have just copied before in the path dialogue of images "a".

Does this happen every time?
yes. everytime!!!

Other information:
I like very much your gimp program. Thanks to everyone!!!

This is already fixed in CVS HEAD.
