I think I am only seeing this when I have a CD in the drive when I start rhythmbox (if its the same crash I was seeing yesterday and it looks close)

Sounds a bit like what I was seeing in bug #339631.  I never did figure it out.

The stack trace and assertion message are the same as bug 348600, so I'm marking this as a duplicate.
