That bug has been described on https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/40201

"If i open Evolution->Contacts->New contact->Categories there are 2 edit-lines.

The description of the second one is "оступные категории" - the first letter is absent.

But in the .mo file it has correct description - "Доступные категории"."

There is an accelerator on "Д", that might be a GTK issue

so this is about the russian version of the string "_Available Categories:", and i can confirm this.

ru.po seems to be correct:

#: ../widgets/misc/gal-categories.glade.h:4
msgid "_Available Categories:"
msgstr "_Доступные категории:"

This does not apply anymore in Evolution 2.28 in Russian.
