GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 341528
Icon placement problems with xinerama
Last modified: 2007-03-05 14:08:03 UTC
Nautilus doesn't show the icons on the correct screen when switching between a dualhead and single head configuration with xinerama. Steps to reproduce: Configure you xorg.conf to support the following layouts: Layout "single" Screen "Primary" # primary screen used in single display Layout "dual" Screen "Primary" # primary screen used in single display Screen "Secondary" LeftOf "Primary # Secondary screen Expected Result: In the dual layout, the primary screen should have the look of a normal primary screen. Actual Result: The icons on my desktop are all moved to the left screen while the panel stays on the primary screen. Since my external screen is smaller than my internal (Laptop), I have some icons (normally on the left of my primary) now on the right border of my primary, which looks strange. Reproducible: always. This should be fixable since gnome-panel can do this by itself. There is a similar bug reported on https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/43617
