Description André Klapper 2006-05-11 18:15:30 UTC
hej srini, the ellipsing of the folder names in the folder pane in the mailer is quite cool, however i expected a popup window displaying the entire text (folder name and number of unread messages in brackets) when i mouseover it, and so i am filing this bug.... :-)

(hmm...perhaps i should set up a "mouseover popup expected" meta bug...)
Comment 1 Srinivasa Ragavan 2006-05-16 09:00:15 UTC
andre: This '...' is a feature of GtkCell* and I guess, we should just move it to Gtk, since they can do it at one place IMO.

Bumping version to a stable release.
Comment 3 André Klapper 2013-12-15 11:13:34 UTC
It looks like ellipsing folder names does not exist anymore in 3.10.3. Regression?
Comment 4 André Klapper 2021-05-19 12:14:55 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new bug report ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
