Description urss 2006-05-07 16:24:22 UTC
Please describe the problem:
n/a

Steps to reproduce:
1. add a bookmark (ctrl + D)
2. one clic on a hard disk partition to select it
3. hit backspace : le bookmark is delete ! one more backspace : delete the next

amazing if we suppose that a shortcut must make an action on the active selection

Actual results:

Expected results:
the nautilus bookmark should have no specific shortcurt to delete a bookmark, or
a last a combinaison of two key (ctrl + backspace ?)

Does this happen every time?
yes

Confirming. CCing usability team. I wonder how common it is to remove a bookmark again. You can press ctrl-B and remove bookmarks with a few key presses.

This is very, very annoying :(

No activity here for a year now... Is there any reason not to fix it?

I think we should just remove the backspace binding altogether. No need to have two different (and confusing) hotkeys for such an uncommon operation.
