Description Daniel Holbach 2006-04-24 16:36:12 UTC
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/41035 has a patch (done by Richard Laager <rlaager@users.sf.net>) to fix the doubled occurences of the string 'gedit' in the manpage.

manpage fix

Mostly looks good to me... I know ~0 about manpages, is it mandatory that .B gedit is always on a new line?

If we are touching the man page we should remove (or comment out, if that is possible) the section on pipes since it isn't supported anymore.
Comment 3 Daniel Holbach 2006-04-24 16:52:05 UTC
Funny you should ask. The original patch had two .B *not* at the beginning of the line, so they showed up in the resulting manpage. I know ~0.1 about manpages but to me it seems that the .<something> statements are 'commands' which are to be executed.

Oh, then just drop that lines from gedit.1 as well.

Patch committed.

I have also removed the section about pipes.
