GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 339352
zh_CN: "Invalid Time value" when changing cal prefs time
Last modified: 2012-02-08 11:44:46 UTC
1. set locale to zh_CN.UTF8 2. start evolution 3. edit->preference->Calendar&Task 4. do some change in one day start/end time selection 5. thren "Invalid Time value" error dialog pops up, endless. I guess this a translate vs code issue. oringal string was "10:00 AM", Shen translate it into chinese, it should be "上午 10:00", so it a Invalid Time value. valid invalid "10:00 AM" "上午 10:00" (selected from combox menu) "10:11 AM" "上午 10:11" (customed) I proposal two ways: 1. split them into two parts: "10:00" and _("AM"), thus you can split translated string correctly 2. mark it not translate able.

argh... after some testings i realized that i have to enable "12hrs" instead of "24hrs" format. /me slaps himself. :-) ok, now i can reproduce this perfectly. changing evo back to 24hrs date format isn't a workaround, because evo does not let me do that - the error pops up again and again. only way to get out it seems is to use the window manager's close button (X), pushing the "Close" button also does not work.

Evolution 3.2.3: 1) LANG=zh_CN.utf8 2) evolution 3) 编辑 (E) -> 首选项 (P) -> 日历和任务 -> 常规 -> 工作日 4) Edit values for 一天开始(_D) and 一天结束(_E) by using the time dropdown menu. 5) Click 关闭(C) No error anymore. Closing this report as FIXED, but please reopen if you still see this problem.
