Description Kim Woelders 2006-04-20 21:54:56 UTC
Please describe the problem:
As of version 0.16.8 the binary of the 0.16.x series of the enlightenment WM is
"e16". This was done to allow the 0.16.x and 0.17 versions to coexist.

Since "e16" is not listed in gnome-wm, this will cause problems when trying to
start GNOME with e16 as WM.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Attempt to start GNOME session with
export WINDOW_MANAGER=e16
gnome-session
2.
3.

Actual results:
Observe the session not starting up properly.

Expected results:
GNOME starting up nicely with panels and stuff, using e16 as WM.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
Suggested patch about to be attached.
The option to set the SM ID is changed to --sm-client-id for "enlightenment" as
well as "e16". This should work with all 0.16.x versions.
