GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 339098
Marked text in "To", "Post-To", "Cc" and "Bcc" is unmarked as control looses focus
Last modified: 2006-08-22 22:39:30 UTC
The marked text should have stayed marked as it does with the fields without a button ("Reply-To" and "Subject"). Other information: Steps to reproduce: *Start editing a new email *Mark some text in the To: field *Change focus to some other control (e.g. middle-click paste in body field) and watch the marked text become unmarked This bug makes it impossible to middle-click copy/paste from these fields, something which is possible from the other fields. Bug #256210 describes a vaguely similar problem. The problem has existed in Debian for versions 2.2 and onwards (tested with 2.6.1). The original bug report is http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=304216
guess this is the same issue as bug 207728
Yes, exactly the same.
thanks, marking as a duplicate then. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 207728 ***
I would say this is not exactly the same as #207728, although related. It is exactly the same as #308840 though. #336435 and #207728 seems to be same, both open.
Nope, this definitely is not a duplicate of bug 207728. Bug 207728 is about autocompletion related failures. If copy an autocompleted address (which usually results in only the name being visible, underlined), then paste that in another recipient field, the name appears only. The "magic" disappears, it is no longer an email address. This actually is is a duplicate of bug 308840. Øystein, pretty nice observation regarding the lost focus. :)
