This is Debian bug 259636: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=259636

The date at which you are reconciling is important information.
It ought to be displayed.

Possibly, you could even faintly highlight the transactions
before that date.

Display statement date in reconcile window

This patch adds an additional label statement date to the box below the Credits section.

The additional enhancement request to highlight transactions before the statement date seems to be to complicated for me. The current code makes use of gnc-query-list to display the reconcile lists. I found no easy way to get to the the display properties. The big solutions could be to rewrite reconciliation to make use of GTK TreeView?

Looks good to me.

Greying out the transactions is way too complicated in the current reconcile widget, hence displaying the date is sufficient for now.

Trunk, r17820.

However I'm asking myself whether the date field shouldn't be displayed as the topmost number, because this seems to have a relation to the "starting balance", which it doesn't have. Maybe rather move it down one line? But then Amounts and Date is mixed up? I don't know.
