GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 338338
"Collapse all threads" doesn't work
Last modified: 2006-09-19 15:34:44 UTC
Forwarded from: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/39421 1. Get a folder with lots of mail (like a mailing list) 2. Select View -> Group by threads 3. Select View -> Expand all threads (all threads are expanded) 4. Select View -> Collapse all threads Step 4 doesn't work properly: only a few threads get collapsed.
cannot reproduce this, and have no idea how to debug this better. :-/
Distribution bug submitter comment: "It happens in 2.6.1 with folders containing 1813 (sounder), 1690 (ubuntu-devel), but NOT on a folder containing 3698 (ubuntu-doc). So I don't think it's related to number of emails. Matt"
Please let me know if there is any information i can provide to help debug this, it's affecting my productivity at the moment. I tried running evo with CAMEL_DEBUG=all, and will attach the log.
Created attachment 64728 [details] log
I cannot reproduce this in Evolution 2.6.0 (with SuSE 10 patches).
I have come across this accidentaly, too. This bug is triggered (according to my obesrvations) only with very big mailing lists, eg 2k+ mail in the inbox and complex threads. But yeah, I can confirm this with Evo 2.6.1 Ubuntu 6.06.
Just one more note, what is interesting, pressing Collapse All repeatedly, it gradually collapses more and more threads :)
It's fixed with 2.7.3 for me now.
I had the same issue with some previous 2.8.0 builds, but not with the current 2.8.0 build. I think this problem was fixed and I suggest to close this bug.
Closing the bug.Fixed in CVS. The fix will go into the next patch release. Thank you for your bug report.
Nevermind the crazy message.
