Description Amit Rana 2006-04-07 04:03:18 UTC
I cannot see all the tasks in Gantt chart view. There is a scroll bar but it doesnt show all tasks.
On the other hand all tasks are viewable in "task" view.

I have over 40 tasks in my project after 32nd task I was unable to scroll down in gantt chart view so it was impossible to use it.

i can send a screenshot.

I am on core 5

Regards,
Amit.

I expect this is because the gantt chart doesn't line up with the tasks, which is a bug that is currently being worked (# 128983). If not, please attach a screen shot and we'll have a look.

Contains ganttChart.png and tasks.png showing the scroll issue

Notice in ganttChart.png that I cannot go below Task19. Scroll bar has reached the bottom so there is no way to scroll down.

Notice in tasks.png I have 21 tasks and I can scroll down till bottom.

I just checked bug # 128983, I didnt notice the alignment problem earlier. That is "also" an issue but thats not what I was talking about. Yes, I am also facing the alignment problem but I dont think its very critical. Not being able to access the tasks is more critical. so I guess this is a different bug.

Please let me know if I can provide any other information.

Can you attach your planner project XML?

planner file

There is more strange behavior.
All these tests are done with window size reduced so that i have to enter less tasks. Same can be repeated with maximised window.

Situation 1: (Gantt chart view is selected by default when i open the project)
[1] If I open planner and then open the project it will not show all the tasks.
[2] If I right click on the planner file and open it with the planner app it lets me see all the tasks.

Situation 1: (Task view is selected by default when i open the project and I move to GAntt view)
no matter how i open the project when i move to gantt chart view it doesnt show me all the tasks.

please let me know if you need more info.

Since in the gantt view the scroll bar is controlled by the chart, this is a side effect of the chart misalignment with the tasks. Example file displays just fine with your most recent patch, Francisco. Marking this as a duplicate of 128983.
