Description Keywan Najafi Tonekaboni 2006-04-05 10:16:49 UTC
I don't need the "Unmatched" search folder. I want delete it. It's in my way. I
only use search folders (all, unread, important, sent, junk) and I dont like it
in my list.
Comment 1 Karsten Bräckelmann 2006-04-05 13:37:11 UTC
Hmm, interesting. I believe it was possible to remove this folder in some previous versions...
Comment 2 Akhil Laddha 2008-04-30 10:52:58 UTC
Can we close the bug now as we have option ( Edit > Preference > Mail preference > General tab > Enable search folder ) to enable/disable search folders ?
Comment 3 Keywan Najafi Tonekaboni 2008-04-30 11:02:20 UTC
I can't update to the last version of evolution. Can I only deaktivate all search folders? I want use search folders, but not the "Unmatched"-search folder.

If I can disable the "Unmatched"-search folder, but still can use other search folder, then you can close this bug.

Regards,

Keywan

With disk summary implementation in 2.23.x, unmatched folder has been removed permanently.

Has it? I surely see (and want to get rid of it!) in 2.26/2.27 :(

I can confirm this. I use 2.26.1 and can't see the "Unmatched" folder anymore.

Unmatched folder was reintroduced in 2.26.2 and 2.27.2

Well I clearly have no use for it and I would like to minimize my UI (not having to scroll etc). Besides, it sometimes includes items that clearly should be matched by other vFolders... :/

Add configure option

I'm using the following patch, which adds a configure option to disable the unmatched vfolder. I did this because it was easy. This is not intended to go upstream: the option should of course be settable at runtime, at least via gconf and maybe in the UI.
Comment 10 Milan Crha 2012-05-31 08:51:17 UTC
I changes vFolder bits heavily for 3.5.2. It also brings UI option to enable/disable Unmatched search folder, which is accessible in the popup menu on the "Search Folders" node of the left folder tree.
