Description Quim Gil 2006-04-04 06:17:21 UTC
We have got some user's feedback about the difficulty to find core information relating to GUADEC 2006:

- schedule
- accommodation
- travel tips
- location details (i.e. address)

tavon is betting on a structure able to survive several GUADECs and I bet also other GNOME events. I was skeptical about this structure but slowly slowly I'm seeing the advantages of it. The current problem is that this structure forces you to up to 3 times from the homepage to get this information, which surely can be improved.

tavon's planned solution for this was to have blocks in the homepage that would point you to the current hot spots. The "You can..." block already shows some hot spots detected previously but we need to have more or improve this.

I suggest to have a nice & visual Vilanova block in the homepage with the links relevant for people defining their visit to Vilanova (if Rodrigo misses the schedule now it's probabloy to figure out if he will come the whole week or just some days). I'm sure we can have nice icons for:

- Vilanova ( http://www.vilanova.org/ciutat/vngpetit.gif ?)
- Schedule (a calendar sheet?)
- Travel (an airplane?)
- Accommodation (a bed?)

While the art comes we can just have a text-based block with these options.

The location page has now all the details:
http://guadec.org/GUADEC2006/location

I'll improve the rest of pages in the following days (although the very very basic information is already in place).

That was fixed a long time ago.
