GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 335806
Gthumb repeatedly crashes on start if the last visited folder is no longer available
Last modified: 2006-03-24 10:23:52 UTC
Gthumb repeatedly crashes on start if the last visited folder is no longer available, this possibly also applies to the last visited catalog. Removing or editing the configuration file by removing the configuration entry where the last visited folder or catalog is being stored will reenable the user in restarting gthumb, otherwise gthumb constantly keeps crashing on start, rendering the application unusable.
To reproduce, create a temporary directory, start gthumb and edit the preferences so that gthumb will try to load the last visited folder on startup. Navigate in gthumb to the temporary directory and open the directory. Quit gthumb and then manually remove the temporary directory. Now restart gthumb and you will notice that it then will constantly keep crashing.
