When session loads, panel do not appear. ~/.xsession-errors file shows:

Run 'gnome-panel --help' to see a full list of available command line options.

Expected results:
gnome-panel should work.

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:

fix it.
Rest of GNOME is at version 2.12, except dependencies needed by gnome-panel &
-session. Distribution is Slackware -current.
