Description Behdad Esfahbod 2006-02-21 00:28:37 UTC
Currently to understand what libraries are missing for a external pluging to be built, one should read the configure.in script. This can be changed such that the configure reports what's missing for every external plugin that will not be built. This can be easily done by setting variables to something like "no (mad >= 0.15 not found)" instead of "no"...

See http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/cairo/2006-January/006161.html for a sample implementation of this for cairo.

Behdad, are the configure scripts still not verbose enough ?
Comment 3 Sebastian Dröge (slomo) 2009-09-10 07:08:42 UTC
Closing as nobody responded since a few months
Comment 4 Behdad Esfahbod 2009-09-10 15:22:35 UTC
I missed that comment it seems, but yeah, I filed this over three years ago. Chances are it's not an issue anymore.
