GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 331815
allow import of single photo from command-line while f-spot isrunning
Last modified: 2008-05-13 09:52:42 UTC
RUnning f-spot 1.8-1 on debian/sid. Just discovered f-spot and love it, so would like to start using it to organize and save emails as they come through the mail. To do this, I would need to be albe to f-spot --import photo_name while f-spot is running. In my opinion, this should open up a new import window with a single photo in it. Currently, this comand opens a dialog box asking me to choose a folder. Since most email clients store these attachments in /tmp/, it's not easy to find the relevant image. Thanks, Matt
Hi, This comment is about an other issue with the command-line options for f-spot. I do agree that the command-line interface could be enhanced. When you feel this should be an other issue, please ask. I wrote a script wich creates a new directory and tries to import this directory into f-spot. This brings up a pop-up menu, with the option to copy the photos to the photo-directory checked. I think there should be a command-line-parameter to uncheck this option. Also, i do not want this pop-up-menu (or dialoguebox) when invoked from the cli. Thanks
this should be working right now. please try 0.4.3.1 and reopen if i'm wrong.
