GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 331741
If the text description for a theme is too long, it stretches out the window to an unusable point.
Last modified: 2006-04-12 19:47:49 UTC
Please describe the problem: When you make a custom theme and tell it to save, and then type in a description that is of some length, all that text will be put on one line and not cut off or wrapped, meaning that your window will be stretched out until you can't see the close buttons any more and it then also looks terrible. You can work around this by deleting that file, but it's unpleasant. Please e-mail me if you want a screenshot. I can't think of a place to upload it, and unfortunately I can't upload a file with a bug report. Steps to reproduce: 1. Make a theme 2. Save the theme 3. Write a long description Actual results: The window stretches out to accomodate the long line of text. Expected results: The window would stretch to accomodate this long line of text. Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information: Please e-mail me for screenshot. garoth(at)gmail.com
Confirmed with control-center 2.13.91 on Ubuntu Dapper. Please see the attached screenshot.
