Description Peter Vegh 2006-02-10 11:03:10 UTC
When launching a new instance, the columns' size are dynamic, meaning if I have
a vertically aligned nautilus window, and I unfold some folders, the name column
gets wider.
My problem is that the size field goes out of the view this way, which I need to
see in some cases, so I always have to scroll right, rearrange the widths and
then do my work. Once width is set, it won't be changed automatically, *until*
the window is open. This automatic adjustment just slows me down, so a setting
for it would be useful I think.
A soulution for it could be no automatic adjustment by default, if an item is
too wide to show, an icon could appear which would adjust the width. And/or
showing the full name on mouse_over on the item.
