Description Joseph Sacco 2006-02-07 03:34:09 UTC
The Makefile in the ./op directory contains the line

     install_shell = @install_sh@

The problem is 'install_sh' is never set to ../install-sh as it is in the 2.13 branch.

Looks like the Garnome people are faster than us again. :) Anyway, this happens to be blocking the 2.12.3 release... could we get a new tarball with this fixed?
Comment 2 Thomas Wood 2006-02-07 16:57:07 UTC
This is strange because the only thing that has changed since 2.12.2 is that one of the translations has been updated. Are you sure this isn't because you're using a newer version of auto tools or something?

Anyway, I can fix it tonight and roll a new tarball.

Elijah,

The open source community is all about "we", and we at GARNOME are here ton contribute. [:-)]

Thomas,

I built versions 2.12.3 and 2.13.90 using the configure files that came with the tarballs posted on f.g.o . I did not regenerate them, which is most likely the source of the problem.

Joseph,

Oh, I know, and you're doing an awesome job. Having you run across problems, filing them, fixing them, posting workarounds, etc. has helped me out more than once (Thanks!). I really did mean the previous comment as a pat on the back to you; I hope it came across that way.

Thomas,

*shrug* gnome-backgrounds-2.12.2 builds just fine for me here, so maybe some other change snuck into 2.12.3? Anyway, I'll look forward to the other tarball. Thanks!

Required automake-1.9 and Joesph has confirmed this solved the problem. Released as 2.13.3.1.

Can't beat the service. Thanks, Thomas.
