When you install the software on a Chinese Simplified System (I have also installed a suit of Chinese fonts), Open Gimp, select "File -> New" and create any picture, then save it, you will get this message: "Pango-WARNING (recursed) **: Couldn't load font "宋体 9"(This font is a Chinese font, may not correctly displayed on no-Chinese system) falling back to "Sans 9" aborting..."
