GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 328411
Next unread does not jump between mailboxes
Last modified: 2006-01-30 08:50:23 UTC
Currently "Next unread" buttun only jumps to the next unread message in the current mailbox. It would be nice to allow to jump to the next mailbox with unread message if current mailbox has already all messages read. Other information:
Created attachment 58268 [details] [review] patch against cvs The above patch keeps the next-unread controls sensitive as long as some mailbox has unread mail, and jumps to the next (opening it if necessary) when the current mailbox no longer has any. If no mailbox is open, it opens the first with unread mail and displays the first unread message. I'm finding it really useful! It also introduces the concept of "subscribing" a mailbox for new mail checking. The default is "subscribed" for all mailboxes except the trashbox, but can be changed in the mailbox-properties dialog. So the trashbox isn't checked for unread mail, trashing unread mail no longer pops up the notifier, and the trashbox isn't in the chain of mailboxes that will be visited. Comments invited!
Yes, patch does the thing. Little thing but makes reading more easy :-)
