GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 328022
GtkFileChooserButton has bizare spacing
Last modified: 2006-02-12 16:41:46 UTC
See the attached screeshot, the spacing around the icons in the gtkfilechooserbutton widget are really odd. (Ubuntu/dapper) 2.8.10-1ubuntu1)

Does this happen in every program? The spacings are fine (nearly zero) for me.
Yes, certainly it happens in epiphany (prefs dialog), and gnome-screenshot. Hmm, however it might be a gnome-icon-theme or ubuntu thing, it only seems to happen if I use the GNOME icon theme, others seem to be just fine...
Duplicate, then. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 310653 ***
This isn't a duplicate of the large icons problem. Quite specifically, the icons in this screenshot all seem to be of appropriate size. It's just the horizontal spacing that's weird. I would suspect this isn't the icon theme, as there's no way for us to control horizontal spacing like that, other than perhaps creating a very wide canvas, which we don't do. And if this does turn out to be one of the icons using a weird canvas size, causing the problem, it's a different issue than the large icons one, so please just reassign rather than making it a dup.
Interestingly, I can no longer reproduce this, no idea what was upgraded, but if I see this again, I'll re-open
