I would recommend simplifying the questions asked in the new log out and shutdown dialogs.  I would prefer that the "Are you sure you want to" part of the questions be removed.  For example, instead of asking "Are you sure you want to shut down this system now?" ask "Shut down this system now?".  This would be similar to how nautilus' empty trash dialog was changes from "Are you sure you want to empty all of the items from the trash?" to "Empty all of the items from the trash?".
