GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 325654
Automatically reload modified files on disk
Last modified: 2006-01-05 17:02:41 UTC
If files get modified on disk gedit should reload them. Probably it is wise to present the user firs a dialog asking for confirmation
This has been discussed on Bug #75861. BTW, gedit 2.13.x now asks you to confirm save if it detects the file has been modified outside gedit. You can also reload the file from disk by using the File/Revert menu entry.
yep, marking as dup. Basically file monitoring is one of the things that would be nice to have. But in the hard and cold reality are not reliable enough at the moment. Thanks for testing gedit and for taking the time to report the bug! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 75861 ***
