This happened on a stock SuSE 10.0-OSS system. I'm really not sure what exactly in the meeting notice caused the problem as other meeting notices were fine. I suspect it had a large attachment with it. I just went in and deleted it from my mailbox using mutt as evolution refused to touch the message without crashing.
