Last modified: 2005-12-18 17:19:21 UTC
Distribution: Debian 3.1 Package: nautilus Severity: normal Version: GNOME2.10.2 2.10.1 Gnome-Distributor: Debian Synopsis: nautilus crashes at start up Bugzilla-Product: nautilus Bugzilla-Component: general Bugzilla-Version: 2.10.1 BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.8.1) Description: Description of the crash: nautilus crashes everytime I start gnome (nautilus is supposed to start with every session). there are three things that can happen: 1. nautilus starts as it should (this happens rather seldom) 2. bug buddy gives me a notice that nautilus crashed. in this case there is no process for nautilus left. 3. neither bug buddy nor nautilus starts, but there is a process called nautilus. remark: this crash report was produced with bug buddy with type a 2 behaviour, but the trace is actually from a type 3 behaviour. this is so since I cannot produce a trace when a type 2 behaviour occurs. Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. start gnome with nautilus in session with priority 40 Expected Results: nautilus should open on my second workspace as a browser window. How often does this happen? 90% of all gnome starting attemts Additional Information: there are several other apps that start every session. on the first workspace: - mozilla (browser + mail + calender) - licq on the second workspace: - gnome-terminal in the notification area: - kteatime - skype - yarssr Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/nautilus' Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1".
