Description Jörg Höhle 2005-11-16 16:49:31 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Many manpages use the .IP macro (see man(7)).
E.g. yelp man:date
Part of the end of the output appears as follows:
"SEE ALSO
The full documentation for date is maintained as a Texinfo manual. If the
info and date programs are properly installed at your site, the command
                                <--- empty line!
should give you access to the complete manual."

-- the actual command is not shown. It should say "info coreutils date".

Note that in the paragraph above, "info" and "date" are displayed in
boldface, like when running man in a terminal. So it's not all of what's
boldface in man output that disappears.

The relevant manpage source is:
and
.B date
programs are properly installed at your site, the command
.IP
.B info coreutils date
.PP
should give you access to the complete manual.

I'm using yelp 2.12.1 from Ubuntu Breezy on i386.

Other manpages show the same effect, e.g. '[', ls
Also, date(1) uses .IP several times, each time causing missing text.

I very much appreciate having a nice manpage formatter on my
Ubuntu/Gnome/Debian/Linux system. Thanks for your effort!

Regards,
 Jörg Höhle

Steps to reproduce:
1. yelp man:date
2. yelp man:ls
3. manpage using .IP macro

Actual results:

Expected results:
See all text from manpage

Does this happen every time?
yes
