Description Dan Alderman 2005-11-10 14:59:55 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When I get an email from my girlfirends place of work which is in HTML format
and I try to reply to it the text comes out backwards from the cursor.

Steps to reproduce:
1: Lisa sends me an email
2: I reply.

This is some text that I typed as a reply:

!sdrawkcab lla si sihT

This is the source of the email she sent me. I have replaced addresses and
server names for obvious reasons.

reassigning to the connector component
Comment 3 Ross Burton 2005-11-10 15:48:51 UTC
Re-assigning back to Evolution: the person who sent the email is using
Evolution, but the bug happens in Evolution connecting to a Linux IMAP server.
Comment 4 Ross Burton 2005-11-10 15:52:08 UTC
I meant "Re-assigning back to Evolution: the person who sent the email is using
*Exchange* but the bug happens in Evolution connecting to a Linux IMAP server."

I remember this being fixed in gtkhtml sometime, a long time ago. What version
of gtkhtml do you have. Assuming its either3.6 or 3.8 since the Evolution
version mentioned here is 2.4 (is it?)
This i suspect is really going to be gtkhtml bug.
Comment 6 Dan Alderman 2005-11-10 16:39:54 UTC
gtkhtml 3.8.1-0ubuntu1
Comment 7 parthasarathi susarla 2005-11-10 16:48:53 UTC
confirming the bug. Sorry for the spam
Comment 8 André Klapper 2005-11-12 11:29:24 UTC
yeah, marking this as a duplicate of bug 273512 which i had reopened a few weeks
ago. partha: the bug wasn't fixed, it was just not possible to reproduce it, see
my comments at bug 273512. ;-)

i copied important comments to bug 273512. (hmm, don't slap me if i did not
think that your comment was important ;-)
