GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 320870
Ical meeting requests misdisplay time
Last modified: 2013-09-10 14:04:09 UTC
When sent a meeting request (from an exchange user) for an afternoon meeting from 14:00 to 15:00, the mailer displays the times incorrectly, ie:- Start time: Wednesday 02:00 End time: Wednesday 03:00 [so no am/pm information, giving the meeting as being apparently very early morning] If the meeting request is accepted the times of the meeting are correct. Overall locale and Evolution locale/timezone information is set to Europe/London, which forces 24 hour time format. Will attach a meeting request that shows the problem for me, as well as a screen shot of the mailer display for the attached meeting.
Created attachment 54413 [details] Meeting request that shows the problem on my system
Created attachment 54414 [details] Screenshot of incorrect time display The times should be 14:00 to 15:00 (or just about acceptably although incorrect for the locale 2:00pm to 3:00pm). Instead they show 12 hours earlier.
This is on an Ubuntu breezy system. Gnome version is 2.12.1 UK/GB locale - LANG=en_GB.UTF-8

Comment regarding exchange has confused people. I am not using connector, but instead using imap to a server which has mail pulled from an exchange system. Although connector is installed on the system it is not active. Suggest the Product be returned to Evolution, although I admit the component might be something other than Mailer.
Hmm...thought it would be Connector based on the description. Changing back to evolution. Should check with the itip-formatter if its an issue.
