If I visit a website for which epiphany has stores a password, it will prompt me
to enter the master password so it can fill in the username/password fields.
Pressing cancel does not cancel the dialog. It seems as though I have to press
cancel for each of the elements epiphany knows how to fill.

Thanks for your bug report. Does this still happen in Epiphany 1.9.x? Can you give an example URL so we can try to reproduce your problem?

It's still broken in 1.9.6

To reproduce:
1. killall epiphany
2. Load epiphany, go to Edit> Personal Data> Passwords
3. Do not enter the master password. Press escape, once for each password (!)

i.e. say I have two saved passwords for yahoo.com (and therefore two saved usernames), I will be prompted FOUR times for the master password.

Expected behaiour: Prompt just once.

Can't this be fixed with a simple flag?

The main question is how the master password got there in the first place, since epiphany doesn't support that feature...

I was never supported.

However it appears under some circumstances gecko thinks a master pwd was set when using a mozilla <= 1.7 generated profile with ff/xulrunner.

This bug is Gecko-only, so closing as WONTFIX since we are focusing in WebKit from now on.
