GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 319069
Doesn't render some pages printed with mozilla (Firefox)
Last modified: 2006-04-02 15:42:01 UTC
Please describe the problem: Some pages that has been printed to a file using Mozilla (Firefox) doesn't show any text (converted using ps2pdf). Some commons messages in gnome-terminal are: Error: Unknown character collection 'mozilla_printout-vFBSEP/vVyXeoVi6rHnAUgxHiI0=' Error: Unknown character collection 'mozilla_printout-+kdkoy9YFPx+axsO0XAgEM6p7ig=' Error: Unknown character collection 'mozilla_printout-uJOFgw2RH9mw9FZPOHZvsS5hNBY=' Error: Unknown font tag 'R36' Error (3009): No font in show Neither the original PS is rendered ok. Steps to reproduce: Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
Created attachment 53583 [details] Test case of PDF file generated from Firefox->PS output.
Looks so, but isn't it just a broken PDF? What does acroread say about that file?
Acroread 6.0 can show it without problems.
Just and additional information, this still happens using evince 0.5.2 and libpoppler 0.5.1. But, I noticed that it also happens if I try it with xpdf; which gives a little more information. Error: Unknown character collection 'mozilla_printout-vFBSEP/vVyXeoVi6rHnAUgxHiI0=' Error: Missing or invalid Encoding entry in Type 0 font Error: Unknown character collection 'mozilla_printout-+kdkoy9YFPx+axsO0XAgEM6p7ig=' Error: Missing or invalid Encoding entry in Type 0 font Error: Unknown character collection 'mozilla_printout-uJOFgw2RH9mw9FZPOHZvsS5hNBY=' Error: Missing or invalid Encoding entry in Type 0 font I think Acrobat has some workaround to see this broken files. I think this issue should be solved in libpoppler.
I re-reported the bug in https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6470
