Please describe the problem:
evince doesn't handle gzipped pdf and dvi files


Steps to reproduce:
1. open a gzipped dvi or pdf file


Actual results:
It displays some message about unhandled mime-types.  (the message itself is not
very user-friendly, I migth add).

Expected results:
the file should be opened

Does this happen every time?
yes
