Description Steve Frécinaux 2005-10-09 12:24:18 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When modifying a file outside gedit, the editor should propose to reopen new
version, keep the current one or display a diff. Currently gedit doesn't check
if the current file has been modified, which can be problematic.

For example you could override a file with an old version of it after cvs up.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a file of, say, Gedit CVS within gedit
2. $ cvs up

Actual results:
Nothing.

Expected results:
If that file had been updated by cvs, gedit should propose to open the new
version, keep the current one or display a diff.

Does this happen every time?
yes
