GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 318209
VFS inconsistencies with spatial view
Last modified: 2009-07-14 22:49:22 UTC
Please describe the problem: There are inconsistencies with the use of the VFS which lead to confusion when navigating through the (virtual) filesystem hierarchy: 1. The parent folder button of spatial view at the bottom left does not respect VFS at all i.e. if I open my virtual home folder, the button shows me the real filesystem /home/me hierarchy. 2. Same for mounts of volumes (/media/usbstick) Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information: I suggest to set "Computer" as the parent folder of volumes and home folder.
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. However, you are using a version that is too old and not supported anymore. GNOME developers are no longer working on that version, so unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes for the version that you use. By upgrading to a newer version of GNOME you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of GNOME. Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer version of GNOME.
