Can't reproduce when loading the samples/UML-demo.dia file, neither with 0.94 or newest CVS. I'm using GTK 2.4.9, what is your GTK version?
I'm using the GTK version that came with Ubuntu Breezy -- 2.8.6-0ubuntu2

The issue is fixed in cvs, apparently gtk+ > 2.6.x was required to reproduce. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 151696 ***
