Description søren hauberg 2005-10-02 11:44:43 UTC
When selecting more then one media file in nautilus and pressing enter, opens
totem with only the last file. It would make more sense if totem would open all
files like they had been dragged and dropped to totem

Other information:
This might be a problem with nautilus, but I don't know
Comment 1 Bastien Nocera 2005-10-02 12:11:51 UTC
Totem has "totem %U" in the .desktop file, which means it should be passed a
list of URLs:
http://standards.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/desktop-entry-spec-latest.html#exec-variables

Doesn't seem to do that though.
Comment 2 Bastien Nocera 2005-10-02 12:20:42 UTC
Using "%F" has the same problem.

1. Select a few video files for which Totem is the handler
2. Right click and select "Open"
3. Totem will be launched twice, once for each file instead of once with a list
of files.

Does launching commands like this use:
nautilus_launch_desktop_file() in libnautilus-private/nautilus-program-choosing.c
or does it use gnome-vfs for it?

Marking as dup of bug 105653. This requires some architectural changes, it will
probably work as of Nautilus 2.14.
