GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 317557
Items with similiar names in list of icon themes disappear when clicked
Last modified: 2007-09-21 18:49:00 UTC
This bug has been opened here: http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=13761 "I'm using Ubuntu Breezy Colony 3. In the list of icon themes on the Theme Details window, there are two similiar entries: "gnome" and "GNOME". When anything on the list is selected, the "gnome" icon theme disappears from the list. This is very unusual behavior and not something a user would expect."
happens for theme using GNOME as icon theme
The Debian gnome-icon-theme package has a /usr/share/icons/Default pointing to /usr/share/icons/gnome, the theme manager gets 2 GNOME entries which creates this issue
I believe this is fixed in the new appearance capplet.
