GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 316773
GdmUse24Clock option not clear for translator
Last modified: 2005-09-21 04:15:21 UTC
The ubuntu bugzilla has got some bugs about the GdmUse24Clock=auto option not working correctly: http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=15652 http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=13317 http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=14299 That's probably because this option is not clear for translators (you have to read the manpage of strftime to figure what to do of this string). The code has: " /* Translators: You should translate time part as %H:%M if your language does not have AM and PM equivalent. */ str = ve_strftime (the_tm, _("%a %b %d, %l:%M %p"));" Could you put a note about %l beeing for 12 hours format?
Thanks, fixed in CVS head and 2.12 branch. Now comment says: /* Translators: You should translate time part as %H:%M if your language does not have AM and PM equivalent. Note: %l is a strftime option for 12-hour clock format */
