Description Alexander Rabtchevich 2005-09-17 10:12:36 UTC
It is currently impossible to operate channel data (copy from one channel and
insert into other) without decomposition of the image RGB channels into layers.
The current channel copy/paste operation is rather slow and not convenient, it
reques:
1. decomposition of the image,
2. selection of the desired area - not exact because of BW image representation
3. image composition. This operation does not automaticaly assign name to the
image, unlike decomposition does.

There would be nice to simply copy the channel data if one channel is selected
and to paste it into other selected channel (channels) without image
decomposition/composition.
