Description Fabrizio Ciacchi 2005-09-13 14:15:31 UTC
Distribution/Version: Ubuntu Breezy

Like said in this page http://www.gnome.org/start/2.12/notes/en/rnusers.html
the bug of the clipboard that does not remember copied data from a closed
application is not fixed.

I'm using GNOME 2.12.0 on Ubuntu Breezy and if I copy a text from Mozilla
Firefox or Abiword, i close the application, and I try to paste in Gedit, the
text is not copied and also the "Paste" command is shaded.

I'm using GNOME 2.12.2 on Gentoo.

I confirm this problem is not fixed.
If I copy a text and close the application, the copied data are lost.

Complex applications like Firefox and Abiword needs to implement the standard. This is not a bug here. Please report the bug against those applications.
