Please describe the problem:
When selection text in some PDF files, the selection will be missing
some of the characters from the selected text.

Steps to reproduce:
1. download the attachment
2 [details]. try to select text from the pdf file
3. 


Actual results:
text is selected, but certain characters within the text are not displayed.

Expected results:
All selected characters are displayed.

Does this happen every time?
yes.

This actually might be my fault.  I created the PDF using scribus and embedded
the font which I borrowed from a friend's mac.  The font was causing an "invalid
encoding" error in Acrobat, so I fired up fontforge and changed the encoding from
Unicode/BMP to Unicode/Full.  Don't know why this would cause this bug, but I
thought it might be relevant.
