Description Sebastien Bacher 2005-09-09 19:49:44 UTC
This bug has been opened here: http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=15048

"The side pane seems to be set to a certain percentage of the width of the
rhythmbox window.
This causes awkward behavior when scaling the window from partial to full screen
and back, in my case the difference is between seeing the first letter of the
playlist or the entire name.

I suggest that it stores it's width with an absolute value, so that playlists
remain visible even on smaller window sizes.

one can easily see the issue when switching from a very small to a full screen
window and back.

I can confirm this. The sidebar width can be set by the user, and it seems
to remember what percentage of the total window width this is. Thus, when the
window is small and the user drags the sidebar to an appropriate size to see
the names of the playlists, it causes the playlist to be resized to a much
larger width when the window is maximized.

Confirming this, and marking it as a enhancement.

I've fixed this in cvs, the sidebar size shouldn't change when the window is
maximised/restored.
